After taking an extended rest, and recovering from their previous encounters the adventures consolidate their supplies and prepare to explore deeper into the depths of The Keep.
Returning to where Bearmangler had joined the party, the group investigates the small muddy hole from where he was freed. On the other side of the hole they discover a maze of caves, stretching in many directions both narrow and wide and dark.
Creeping into this dark and dank place the adventurers are attacked by numerous rodents, swarming all around them. But a few swift and well placed attacks free the party from their foes.
Investigating further they discover a water bucket which appears to be attached to a cable that enters into the ceiling. After some discussion Bearmangler decides to urinate into the bucket to add weight to it, which in turn opens a hidden door into a slightly larger muddy room.
The Water Cave
The adventurers move into this newly found area, only to discover a pool of fetid water, with a small island in the middle. Approaching, they see ripples in the previously still water. Suddenly, a monsterous blue slime attacks, causing injury to all the party.
They fight back, the adventurers victorious, the slime is smashed into a pile of blue goop.
The adventurers jump over to the small island and find a number of small treasures to take with them on their journey.
